Heylerhe,

I have a new macbook (mid 2007) and it has all been working excellently since I bought it. But for the past couple of months, I've plugged in my sennheisers and there has been no audio output through the minijack.
I have been able to use headphones before on this comp, so I am quite confused. I know with other macs people have had problems with getting both the internal speakers and the headphone jack to work together, they've had to prioritise one or the other with some dodgy program.
This applies with any other headphones, earphones, you get the picture. Every program, iTunes, skype, net content, blah blah blah.
I have searched and searched for something to help me figure this out, but I can't find anything that applies to my particular system. Lots of people on a forum said that 'wiggling' the device into the jack might help, but I think this is more of a software problem, and nothing to do with the internal mechanisms.
I've also looked at all the Utilities/MIDI preferences and that's all working fine.

If I'm missing something, do help me out!

I'm a little confused here. Are you trying to get the headphones and the internal speakers to work at the same time? Because that is not possible. Either you have the minijack in use of you are using the internal speakers, not both. Maybe there is a program out there that does this, but I haven't heard of one.

Or is it that your minijack just isn't working altogether? Please clearify. Thanks.

Peace.
