That's pretty freaky. I mean, it totally could've been faked, but I don't see why they would've done that. I can't imagine what it might've really been. Maybe a sky balloon or something?

I've been scouring the Internet, searching for a possibly reasonable explanation for why we should be seeing an apparent witch traversing the mountain ranges of Mexico.

Keeping in mind that this area is a site for heavy traffic from under-ground and above-ground US military bases, I was wondering if these jackasses could have used one of their test vehicles to pull one over on the public, dressed up as a witch. So, the question became: Is there such a vehicle?

Yes. Yes there is. It would cost us $200,000 to buy one, but the military could take one out for a ride at any time. Over 80 Mph top-speed, 250 feet ceiling, and can run 27 KM on 5 gallons of fuel. Now, I'm not saying it isn't a witch up there, I'm just saying it is apparently possible to dress up in a witch costume, and then fly out on one of these babies, trying to make fools of the Mexican population. It would be a very good way for the US military to try to discredit the previous Mexicans' reports of sightings of other vehicles in that area, as a form of ridicule against those possibly valid sightings.

That's not a balloon we see in any of the videos, and going on what one person's impression is will do nothing to change what everyone else can see for themselves. That's why the news left it out - to have people make up their own minds on what they see.

The footage is grainy at best. A person that's actually there, taking the video, is probably seeing a much clearer picture than we are in some mexican internet video. Not everything is a big conspiracy...sometimes it really is just a balloon. I don't think that person has any agenda to get across, anything to cover up by publicizing some video of a "flying witch" and then saying right at the end "oh wait..it's a balloon!" The sensationalist Spanish language news however, Primer Impacto, which is targeted not towards Mexican people, but Spanish speaking people in the United States, does have an agenda of providing interesting crap news to its audience.

Listen idiot. "Some Mexican Internet video" is the same video technology that we use, so save your idiotic attention-whore remarks for SG or HB. Also, we don't need you to tell us what quality we perceive in the video we just saw. I personally found it to be a little better than grainy, and I could plainly make out the shape, direction, height, speed, and size of the object as it traveled across the front of the mountain range. I could even see the pointy hat, as a matter of fact. Since I see that, I don't need your lips flapping around telling me the lady must have seen it much better than me. I saw it fine. I won't even address the rediculous notion of the military dressing up in witch costumes.

I will, however, point out that there is no such jetpack/rocketpack made which does not emit a shitload of dB's.

I listened to a few videos of the T-73 turbine jet-pack in operation, and I found it's not all that loud. Mostly a high-pitched hissing noise, and only a slight background rumble. That object flying in front of the mountains was at least 2-3 miles away. I really doubt you are going to hear the hiss or slight rumble from that far away.

As well, you have completely glossed over the fact that a police officer in that video testified to seeing a witch in a pointy hat with large eyes, flying in circles over the grave-yard in the direct flight path of the object we see in the video. The other police officer testified to being attacked by a witch with large eyes at the same time and location, as it exited an abandoned house right in that area.

Hydrogen Peroxide powered jetpacks can stay aloft for 33 seconds maximum before they run out of fuel. Obviously, there is no way such a unit is in the witch video.

Jet fuel powered units can stay aloft for 19+ minutes. Then again jet turbine engines are fucking loud. The sound from such a unit would echo for miles through the hills shown in the video.

I don't know if you have any experience with people from South of the border, or their beliefs or their culture. so I'll share a little with you.

The vast majority of the Mexican population have no education. Many cannot read or write. The culture is very strongly steeped in superstition. To be honest, most Mexicans are stronger believers in the supernatural than you are, -Spec. They sincerely believe that a person can be made ill by a stranger giving them the "ojo" (evil eye).

Think about it rationally for a second. You have a highly superstitious cop, in a graveyard, in the middle of the night... How could you not expect his imagination to run wild?

There are more related forums they can go force their opinions of their realities on; that's why there are forum categories. This one's occupied by SoTD content.

As well, those examples I posted on the turbine engine WERE jet-fuel consuming. As I said, the noise is a little more than a loud hiss, hardly heard at 2 miles away.

" The vast majority of the Mexican population have no education. Many cannot read or write."

^^ To place someone you don't even know into the "vast majority" is a very sloppy way to evaluate the veracity of a single person's testimony. As for many of them not being able to read or write, that may be true, but these are police officers, officers who have to write reports daily, and use precision when documenting details, such as time, place, description, etc. It's something they do on a daily basis. They are not of your run-of-the mill, uneducated peasants.

And you accuse me of making assumptions...
It's exceedingly obvious that you are completely ignorant of the job qualifications of the Mexican police force, and of the country/culture. Mexico is not the US, and they do things much differently down there. The vast majority of rank and file policemen in Mexico are run-of-the-mill, uneducated, peasants. There is no middle class in Mexico. There are those with wealth, and those who are dirt poor. The average rank and file policeman comes from the lower class.

I'm very safe in my assumption that the ploiceman in question was superstitious and poorly educated. I'm not speaking from hearsay on this matter. I was born and raised in deep South Texas. I grew up around these people. Mexico is just a hop, skip , and a jump out my back door. I can be across the border in slightly more than an hour if I get the notion to do so.

Wrong much?

Mexico has made improvements in education (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education) in the last two decades. In 2004, the literacy rate was at 92.2%, and the youth literacy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literacy) rate (ages 15–24) was 96%. Primary and secondary education (9 years) is free and mandatory. Even though different bilingual education programs have existed since the 1960s for the indigenous communities, after a constitutional reform in the late 1990s, these programs have had a new thrust, and free text books are produced in more than a dozen indigenous languages.

Wrong much?

Nope:

"...In contrast, the education level of Mexican citizens has increased only modestly during the past 30 years. According to the OECD, only 13% of the entire Mexican population has completed secondary school, the equivalent of a high school degree in the United States. This compares to an 88% high school graduation rate for U.S. citizens. Reflective of the only modest education gains achieved over the past two-three decades, only 22% of Mexican 25-34-year-olds have a high school equivalent diploma, versus 13% for Mexicans over the age of 55. The low quality of education in Mexico is even more alarming. According to a wellrespected OECD study, 44% of Mexican 15-year-olds score at the bottom two levels of a literacy examination, rendering them functionally illiterate in an information-age economy. In addition, The Global Competitiveness Report 2005-2006 ranked Mexico 81st out of 117 countries for quality of public schools. In addition, the quality of Mexico’s math and science education was ranked in 92nd place, below countries such as Bangladesh, Cameroon and Kenya..."

Pretty easy to duplicate...

I've been scouring the Internet, searching for a possibly reasonable explanation for why we should be seeing an apparent witch traversing the mountain ranges of Mexico.

Have you?
Have you really?
Nah, I don't think so, that wouldn't be like you...

Keeping in mind that this area is a site for heavy traffic from under-ground and above-ground US military bases,

...And naturally, you will now document this...
Failure to do exactly that, will be seen as an admission on your part, that you're full of shit, and just make up things.

I was wondering if these jackasses could have used one of their test vehicles to pull one over on the public, dressed up as a witch.

That sounds very reasonable, of course the US military have a very good reason to, to ehhh, to....
No, wait...

Whoop-de-fucking-doo...

Now, I'm not saying it isn't a witch up there,

No, of course you wouldn't, anything is possible, right?

I'm just saying it is apparently possible to dress up in a witch costume, and then fly out on one of these babies, trying to make fools of the Mexican population.

Yes, of course it's possible to make a fool out of someone, but why?
Why would anyone try to make a fool out of the Mexican population?

It would be a very good way for the US military to try to discredit the previous Mexicans' reports of sightings of other vehicles in that area, as a form of ridicule against those possibly valid sightings.

...And exactly where is it that you've found these "previous reports of sightings"?
Naturally, you'll see it's in your best interest to document this, otherwise, how could anyone believe you weren't just full of crap?

http://www.vidmax.com/index.php/videos/view/2351

Neat.

That's not a balloon we see in any of the videos,

...Said some moron from Canada, who wasn't there when the video was shot...

and going on what one person's

...A person that was there, at teh time, and didn't sit in Canada picking lint out of their belly button...

impression is will do nothing to change what everyone else can see for themselves.
That's why the news left it out - to have people make up their own minds on what they see.

HA-HA-HA-HA-HA...
If you really can't imagine any other reasons, you're even dumber that I imagined, and that says a whole fucking lot!

Listen idiot. "Some Mexican Internet video" is the same video technology that we use, so save your idiotic attention-whore remarks for SG or HB.

Aww Speckles you idiot, now that wasn't very nice...
Remember, that technology also saves your idiotic attention-whore remarks for SG or HB.
But, I assume, that in your world, you're the only one who are allowed to make idiotic attention-whore remarks, while the rest of us must make do, with intelligent posts and common sense, and so we do...

Also, we don't need you to tell us what quality we perceive in the video we just saw.

Nope, that's right, we don't need that, we can see for ourselves...
Well, at lest most of us can..

I personally found it to be a little better than grainy,

Funny that, I found it grainy as fuck, but then again, I might be used to better quality than you, seems like it...

and I could plainly make out the shape,

You'll see what you want to see, and you want to see monsters and phantom planes everywhere...

direction,

So Speckles, in what direction was it moving?
And no, saying left to right won't do, unless you're ready to admit that it was totally irrelevant to tell us that, but only put in as a filler.
Feel free to use a compass.

height,

And, what height was it at?
Once you've answered that, please elaborate on how you came to that conclusion.

A lobotomy wouldn't hurt either, it wouldn't improve your eyesight, but it would make Totse a better place.

I'm looking for explanations, and possibilities to explain what we see, not making any conspiracy out of it.

What a load...
I seriously don't think anyone actually believes that...
It is widely known (yes, I'll prove that, just look at the responses you get), that you'll be the first to jump to conclusions that involve something, anything supernatural, each and every fucking time you get the chance.

That's just you shooting your very stupid mouth off again, trying to make this into something it's not. In conclusion, shut your fucking pie hole. Got that?

I think so...

to seeing a witch in a pointy hat with large eyes, flying in circles over the grave-yard in the direct flight path of the object we see in the video.

Yeah, maybe if he was paid a decent salary, he wouldn't have to degrade himself to participate in this sort of thing.

"Huge claws", that's rich...:D

BTW, here's Transparrency International's list of corruption in the various countries (http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0781359.html), scroll down to Mexico, and see what other countries lie in that area, corruption wise.
I'm sure there is a reason for this, and I'm sure it says something about how likely the Mexican cops are to want to earn a little on the side, off the books, ya' know...

The other police officer testified to being attacked by a witch with large eyes at the same time and location, as it exited an abandoned house right in that area.

As we have already established, Mexican cops aren't necessarily the most trustworthy witnesess, how would you feel if your life for example depended on whether or not a Mexican cop wasn't rotten?

And while we're at it, where are the cop's injuries?
Surely it must've left some sort of trace, if he'd been attacked by something as fierce as a Mexiwitch...

No. It means if somebody comes here to repeatedly spout their negative opinions on the subject, like a broken record or a parrot, then they should get the fuck out.

Nope, it means that not all of us have done too much LSD, or wants to see boogeymen everywhere
I could say something about how you prefer the world to dance to your tune, and act all childish and retarded every time the world disagrees, but I won't, it's clear for all to see...

Questions?

Yeah, as you can see I've already asked a few, but I seriously doubt you have the balls to either admit you can't answer them because you like to make up stuff, or as an alternative, admit you're fucking mental case that should be locked up for life.

There are more related forums they can go force their opinions of their realities on; that's why there are forum categories. This one's occupied by SoTD content.

So, I guess this is where you try to force your opinions, of your "realities"?

As well, those examples I posted on the turbine engine WERE jet-fuel consuming. As I said, the noise is a little more than a loud hiss, hardly heard at 2 miles away.

Wrong, truckfixr already put you in your place for that one.

Amazing how you can flip-flop like that, but meh, we've already concluded you'll do that when it suits you...
Double standards FTW, huh...

Wrong much?

And then he owns you, again...

Oh well, time for me to post.

I won't even address the rediculous notion of the military dressing up in witch costumes.

Military personnel are people too. If you think that they're above fucking around on the job sometimes, you're silly.

Please re-read post #12 in this thread. -Spec was talking about the military(as an organization, not individual soldiers) trying to discredit the mexicans. Nothing was suggested about soldiers fucking around.
