My impression of the iPhone:

laggy
gyroscope is ANNOYING
Pages render really slowly, even on a fast connection.
Having to goatse every page to be able to see it is really annoying.
Keypad is HARD to use.
"non-watered down"internet didn't have any tabbed browsing.Anyone else?

First of all, there IS tabbed browsing.. that little button in the bottom right? Yeah, that's tabbed browsing. Next, I feel the that "goatse motion" is probably the most natural "zoom" motion.. but you can just tap the screen there too! Keypad is intuitive, especially if you're not a spaz (but then again, you are on TOTSE...); the error fixing service is even better. Not laggy in the slightest, and the accelerometer (not a gyroscope, dumbass) is not only innovative but really handy.. having an iPod with coverflow is by far the most incredible experience I've ever had with an MP3 player. Very thin, light, and beautiful. YouTube is the shit. I can't wait, CAN'T WAIT to own one.

I think for what it has £200ish is an amazing price.

Especially when you see phones around now for £600 which dont even compare.

having a video ipod plus phone for only a few hundred is a bargain in my eyes.

Not used one yet and i probably wont get one though because i dont really use a phone when i'm out.

We'll get it later than you. I'm 100% sure that we (Canada) won't have it for a long while.

That is one cool looking phone, with all the stuff it can do. But i'll never buy one, not until they bring down the effin price. I'm not paying $500-600 for a phone and an extra $100 a month for service. Fuck that!
I don't give a shit what it does. Not at that price.

Peace.

I would love an iPhone. I would probably only get the 4gb if I had the money because I've already got a huge iPod. I haven't had the chance to use one yet but it looks so awesome.

I concur though, the price is out of hand. I probably won't get one for that reason and because of my verizon contract at the moment.

iPhone...

A ripoff of the LG850 which was out years before.

Other than WIFI the iPhone cannot do half of what the E6 can do... which was out nearly a year ago and goes for half the cost of the 4MB iPhone.

Ok so then why where neither of those phones huge successes? Apple did not do that much advertising, alot of blogs and news covered it but that was not paid for buy apple (presumably) Neither of those phones has multi touch. Or the nice web browser or key board, or wonderful integration or the new message thing or any of the other features which make the iphone brilliant. You don't even know anything 4MB iphone does not exist, maybe you ment GB?

The pages do not render slowly at all, unless your hand twists 90º every few seconds the gyroscope will not be annoying. The keypad is one of the easiest things to use it might take some time to be able to type fast on but it is by no means hard to use. Why don't you and your FUD go find something else to bitch about.

No. Pretty quick
gyroscope is ANNOYING
No. It only activates when you mean it to.
Pages render really slowly, even on a fast connection.
Internet browsing was super fast. I browsed totse infact, and made some posts (http://www.totse.com/community/showthread.php?t=2026348)
Having to goatse every page to be able to see it is really annoying.
No. The pages are very clear, scrolling is easy, and zooming in is easy
Keypad is HARD to use.
Yes. It is a bitch to use because the letters are so small. I miss typed 1 out of every 3 words, easily.
"non-watered down"internet didn't have any tabbed browsing.Yes, no tabbed browsingAnyone else?

I tried out an iPhone at my local Apple store. They had them to use for the public for free.
A picture of the 2 and 3 keys on the keyboard (23 being my username). I then took a pic of the iphone with my camera phone.

Goatse motion?

Yeah, I'm referring to having to rip apart whatever page you want to zoom in on.

I was on a T1, and the pages were going way slower than on my laptop. The keypad is small, like most phone keypads, but its touch screen, so I can't feel for the buttons, meaning I'm constantly whacking the backspace key. Also, it might be my ignorance, but I can't see certain youtube videos when I search for them on the iPhone. Why exactly is this?

Apple hasn't introduce flash for the iPhone yet.
Because of this, they have to convert the videos to a special format to play them on the iPhone, and they just haven't converted them all yet.

And, I thought for a few minutes about that goatse motion and finally figured it out. Haha.

Also, maybe they just haven't perfected Safari yet, and it renders pages a bit slow?
