I didn't expect to get it so soon, but because my pc was starting to die I put an order in for one of these and finally got it today http://tinyurl.com/2cyh3p (17inch) :D I guess I'm just here to "gloat about my mac".
I also got a full adobe design suite, since I study photographic design and other bits and pieces meaning one expensive laptop :(
The backlit keyboard is totally worth it though, so pretty :D

Backlit keyboards are my messiah.
I was gonna get the 17 incher, but thought it was too big for a laptop. I got the 15 inch, and its a big step up from my 12 inch g4 ibook.

I got the software for about $1000NZD which is about 750USD - student prices are sweet. And then Office as well.
Still a lot, but I use it all the time, so might as well have a legit copy.
It is quite a big laptop, my PC was 15in widescreen so this isn't that much bigger then what I used to have, but its gonna be amazing for image work - and watching movies!

Ah still, matte is the way to go i think.
Im sure they offer both though even for the 17", i know they do for 15"

i'm still running an old imac g5 with 256 ram 80gb hd and osx 1.3.9 :( damn i want a powermac with 16gb ram over 7tb memory and os x tiger but they cost over $60,000 :(:(:(:(
