View Full Version : Anyone done Thailand?
Me and a few mates are going to Thailand for five weeks at the end of June. Was wondering if any of you have done anything out there that you would recommend? Looking for some wild experiences if possible. Something that involves danger and possible scarring is also good too. Apart from mental scarring due to lady boys. We're gonna do the usual, checking out the temples and jungles and stuff, as well as finishing with a full moon party at the end of our trip, but was just wondering if there was anything out there that was so good we can't miss it.
My friend went there last summer. He said it was awesome and everything was extremely inexpensive.

I've been there. Spent a few days in Bangkok and then went to an island resort in Koh Samui. Bangkok was awesome, the food is delicious and it's a really nice city in general, although unfortunately I don't remember as much as I'd like to cause I was about 11 or 12 at the time (18 now... well I'm turning 18 in 3 and a half hours anyway :D ).

well i went to bangkok for 1 week a year ago about.
for rice and curry its about 50 cents US ... buy most of ur food from road side stalls very cheap and mabey print or write off some translations of common thai meals so hey know what u want coz alot of thai places have big boards all written in thai and its hard to get what u want if u dont speak or read thai. big food courts are good and u buy coupons. most places u just point to what u want.
when in markets dont be ripped off. u can get a rolex for about $10 US about 500 baht depends weather u want diamonds or basic. once u hav shopped at few different markets u wil know the standard price. places like 7-11 and
tesco supermarkets have set prices and the big shopping malls. just road side shops and markets that u can price bargin with, i noticed most markets are tourist prices so i always try to ask cheaper or if they say a certain price just look realli shocked and walk away and they will sell cheaper.
also dont get mixed up in drugs or anything, end in a concrete prison floor with fuck all.

i got the above rolex for 500 baht, still quality not sure weather it varys they all seem the same. not all have pirated thing in the open and u must sumtimes ask, they have a whole rolex catalogue and u can choose any, sumtimes u have 2 wait 10 minutes but they will get it. they can also ajust the size to fit u and they these watch tools.
one thing in thailand i noticed is that if u have money u can get anything.

yea there copys not authentic.
