I am currently trying to find the entire broadcast of 'Art Bell's Area 51 callers' from september 1997. I have looked through over 30 pages of google matches, asked the dreaded jeeves, and even tried the accursed AOL, to no avail. The official Art Bell webpage does not even mention this famous broadcast. Can anyone help me find a link to it?

Holy fuck, did a google search and found out that they still make the show, I thought that when Art Bell left, the show stopped. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/

Thanks, but I already looked their, and it does not exist in their files.
Somaodio, I have also heard Art Bell's public speach about it being a hoax, but Art Bell also mysteriously retired from broadcasting. Some claim it was because of his son being molested by a teacher, but the story has many loopholes in it. If it were a hoax, it was a very elaborate one, for it is very difficult to produce a pocket of electromagnetic energy, like the one that was reported to have disrupted the transmission. A government project at the time, HAARP, could have done this, but I seriously doubt Art Bell could.

Art's broadcast where he anounced his retirement, spoke of a "imediate threat to him and his family" which stemed from something that happend about a year ago"
This was broadcast in Oct 1998, and Sept 1997 is very close to a year ago. The official story behind his retirement may or may not be true (I am always sceptical of the news), for he had been having alot of trouble with the government after his broadcast in Sept 1997. Their were claims that " a black helecopter landed outside of his home, the man who knocked at his door said, "Your time is up Art."
It may be all conspiracy bullshit to sell his book, but I still want to find the elusive radio show from Sept 1997.

I heard the broadcast from a link that was on some other thread. Wish i could find out which thread it was.
The whole thing was a hoax. He just turned off the radio and said it was a electro burst whatever. Art Bell was prolly having a good laugh over it and everyone thought he was serious.

You might be talking about my thread in conspiracy, but that was not the whole broadcast, just a few clips from it. I am well aware that Art Bell made a public statement saying it was a hoax, but I suspect he was forced to make it. The station log clearly shows a disturbance of the satilite transmission on the night in question, which would not be caused by Art "just turning off the radio". It is an interesting conspiracy, and the lack of any full copies of the radio broadcast kind of suports the stand of it being a cover-up.
Does anyone have any copies of the broadcast out there?

Hi all,
I'm an avid Art Bell fan and I still listen to George Noory(the new host) on occasion.
Art left the show permanantly on 12/31/02(that was his last show). However, he still guest hosts for George on occasion.
Art left the show a couple of years back because of an allegation of molestation of his son by his teacher.
He then came back to the show and hosted again for nearly two years at which point his back pain was too great to bear and he retired. George Noory took over and has been doing a good job so far. But he's no Art Bell.
Unless you get lucky and find a bootleg copy of that show, you won't be able to find it as Premeire Radio Networks hold the copyright and Art has personally asked that they not offer them for broadcast nor for sale or distribution. There have been ongoing negotiations over this and maybe someday we will be able to hear these classic shows again. If that happens, you'll probably have to become a member of their Streamlink service to hear them. You can get more info at www.coasttocoastam.com. (http://www.coasttocoastam.com.)

The 'Alien' sounds like Jim Carrey.
However, I would be interested if anyone has anymore information.

That is not the whole broadcast, just portions of it.

I believe thats what you want.
Then the signal starts breaking up, you hear him say "I just get" or something like that, then the signal for the station is lost. Art claims after the signal was cut off, the man started screaming and getting more hysterical. You left out Art's comments, but yeah, that is basicly what it says.
The next caller says "About your last caller, the interuption, I don't think you will be hearing from him again."
I have still had no luck finding the whole broadcast, possibly I never will. No, Reverse speach .com does not have the whole broadcast, just clips of it to try and prove their theroy.

You might as well forget trying to get any of the past programs from the Art Bell. I've been trying for a while. I was even a guest on the show, April 2nd, 1997.

This is only sections of the one call from the frantic man, not the whole show.
