you could make some sort of "video-sender" out of parts of an old VCR, perfectly legal in america i think, but not in the UK.

Highly doubtful it would affect a whole city...

moving to radio free amerika, those guys have more information on propagating TV signals.

A really high power spark gap transmitter should do it. They are really easy to make, just do a little search of the web, I don't really have the motivation to explain it right now.

what about making a FM oscillator and boosting the signal some how, im sure it can be done. i made a small FM oscillator using a 9 volt battery that flickered and caused interference,i also read that adding an antenna could boost the range up to 25 feet with the small 9 volt i used. its an idea

How about you build a tesla coil set to resonate at the frequency of the TV... I know that's a fairly high freq for a tesla, but it has been done hasn't it? And the power those things can put out is amazing... PLUS as a added bonus, you get to see the pretty sparks... ooooo fireworks http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/biggrin.gif)

Sorry to ask this, my knowledge of radio's, etc. are still very basic at the moment http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif (http://www.totse.com/bbs/wink.gif) But wouldn't that only affect people getting tv through the air waves and not people who subscribe to cable?
